Yes and no.
I think he should have made changes on the offensive side of the ball after last season. And it's not because I think Corny is necessarily a bad play caller, but I don't think he's necessarily strong at the other aspects of the job. I don't think he's a good recruiter, don't think he's a good QB coach, and I think his personality is too much like Fuente's. I think if Fuente had replaced him and Williams after last season it would've shown 1) an acknowledgement of certain issues and 2) an attempt to fix them...and would've bought him some extra time with a good portion of the fanbase that has turned against him. I also think Fuente needs an intermediary to be the bad guy between him and the team so he can hopefully be more of that encouraging figure head rather than the angry step father with the belt (this is one aspect I'm not sure he can do though). And then finally...the offense needs to loosen up and have fun. They're all too tight.
In contrast, I love our defensive staff and they seem to be the exact opposite of the offensive side of the ball in all aspects. See the WVU game...they started off bad, gave up some big plays...but they didn't panic, settled down and played dang good football the rest of the game and gave the team a chance to win it.
